Join our mission at GoBeyond to turn travel into a transformative experience for every traveler, on every journey we create. As our Head Tour Guide, you’ll lead, support, and inspire our tour guides, ensuring each of our trips delivers the quality, spirit, and adventure GoBeyond is known for.

You’ll be the bridge between our core team and the field, playing a key role in shaping trip design, guide training, and guest experience across all destinations. Key responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor our global community of tour guides, fostering a culture of professionalism, creativity, and continuous improvement;
  • Coordinate guide onboarding and training programs to ensure high-quality, consistent trip leadership;
  • Work closely with the product and operations teams to co-create unforgettable travel experiences;
  • Regularly guide trips yourself, setting the standard in guest experience and embodying the GoBeyond spirit in the field;
  • Act as a key support figure in crisis situations, helping guides resolve incidents calmly, efficiently, and with care;
  • Monitor guide performance and trip feedback to identify areas for improvement and growth;
  • Play an active role in recruiting and selecting new guides in collaboration with HR and trip designers;
  • Encourage a culture of shared knowledge, storytelling, and best practices within the guide community.

Essentials

  • 3+ years of experience as a tour guide, trip leader, or expedition coordinator, especially in multi-day, experience-rich adventures;
  • High-level personal expertise in at least one of GoBeyond’s core activities (surfing, freeride skiing or snowboarding, or motorcycle touring);
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to connect and motivate across cultures and personalities;
  • Experience in crisis management or guest support under pressure;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; other languages are a plus;
  • Deep understanding of what makes a travel experience truly memorable and transformative;
  • Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset;
  • Comfortable with frequent travel and flexible work hours, including occasional weekends or evenings;
  • An adventurous spirit and a true passion for outdoor lifestyles and travel.
