Senior Tour Operator

Hungarian Speaking // Full-time // Budapest

Join our mission to turn travel into a transformative experience for every traveler, on every journey. Bring bold ideas to life and craft trips that leave guests with memories for a lifetime.

Our Budapest HQ is seeking a Hungarian-speaking Senior Tour Operator to make every detail count.

This is a senior, ownership-driven role with real responsibility. You will manage complex travel projects end-to-end, where precision, proactivity, and accountability truly matter.

Key Responsibilities

You will take full ownership of multiple trips at the same time – from early planning through execution and post-trip evaluation – ensuring every journey runs smoothly, even under pressure.

  • Liaising with destination-based local partners and subcontractors, organizing all services related to the trips (accommodations, airport and local transfers, surf lessons, motorcycle rentals, local guides, etc.), and finding new partners when needed;
  • Planning and coordinating trip-related financial processes (agreements with local partners, payment schedules and cancellation deadlines, invoicing);
  • Preparing contracts related to the trips (guide agreements, subcontractor contracts);
  • Searching for and booking flights;
  • Handling visas, registrations, and insurance;
  • Managing all administrative tasks connected to the trips (financial plans and settlements, passenger and transfer lists, flight information, room allocations, etc.);
  • Preparing and delivering all operational information, documents, and equipment necessary for the trip to the tour guides (passenger and transfer lists, room assignments, cameras and other technical equipment, etc.);
  • Compiling passenger briefing materials and facilitating communication within the team;
  • Collaborating with our sales and marketing teams to prepare and assemble trip-related materials;
  • Providing phone support during trips, handling ad hoc tasks, and resolving any issues that arise;
  • Closing the project in coordination with the tour guide and finance colleague;
  • Collecting feedback from completed trips (tour guide reports, passenger reviews) and using it to improve future trips;
  • Developing new trips;
  • Taking responsibility for trips during peak periods, including availability outside standard working hours and on weekends when required by the project or during travel dates.

Essentials

  • Fluent Hungarian and excellent English; confident German is a plus, and any additional languages are welcome;
  • A university degree is required, and a background in tourism is a significant advantage;
  • At least 3–4 years of experience in travel organization or a similar field (e.g., event planning);
  • High level of responsibility;
  • Comfortable with administrative tasks and spreadsheets; precision is essential;
  • Proactive and open to learning new and complex tasks;
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, networking, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Design-conscious mindset and awareness of travel trends;
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability; proactively identify risks, opportunities, and solutions;
  • Ability to manage high workloads efficiently in deadline-driven, high-intensity periods.
