The Austrian Alps are a true outdoor paradise, and it’s no wonder it’s one of our favorite destinations in the summer heat. With peaks reaching 2500 meters as far as the eye can see, dense pine forests guarantee shade for hikes, and crystal-clear Alpine lakes offer a refreshing dip.
In the area around Leogang, choosing among the sport activities can be tough, but our guide, Szancsi, has been living and working here for years, so she has put together the perfect summer adventure with expert hands and made sure we’ll explore the best spots in the area.
Over the course of 4 days, we’ll use e-bikes and hiking to reach special panoramic spots, where we’ll do yoga, relax on the beach, and grill trout by the lake. Along the way, we’ll discover the flourishing mountain hut culture of the Alps in summer and taste local delicacies from schnapps to homemade sheep cheese. In the evenings, we’ll unwind with sauna sessions after our active days.
Our base is a unique design hotel, where we can get to the roof on the climbing wall on the side of the building, which serves not only as a spot for sunset yoga but also where we can enjoy a local craft beer if we feel like it.
For those who want to make the most out of the Alps, they can try out one of the world’s longest and fastest zip lines, paddleboard in the mountain lakes, or even explore the area on horseback.

After arriving amidst the 3000-meter peaks of the Alps, we grab our welcome drinks and we catch the nearby cable car to the summit of Steinberg to admire the surroundings. In the sunset, we climb to the rooftop on a climbing wall built into the hotel's side, which doubles as the location for our first yoga session. At the end of the day, we unwind in the sauna, then finish off with a lavish grill and BBQ dinner.
Before breakfast, we set off on a short hike to the platforms nestled in the forest, where we can enjoy breathtaking views of the peaks of the Alps while doing yoga. After this exceptional start to the day, we have breakfast at the hotel and then head out with e-bikes to explore the surroundings. By the hidden Pillersee lake nestled among the mountains, we grill fresh trout and take a dip in the crystal-clear water, and for those who feel like it, there's the option to paddleboard as well. We wrap up the long day with sauna sessions and a communal dinner at the hotel.
After breakfast, we set out once again for an e-bike tour, stopping along the way at surrounding farms to taste fresh Alpine cheeses, cold cuts, and schnapps. Following a rugged route, we eventually reach the Birnbachloch cave, where the adventurous among us can even take a dip in the cave's lake. In the afternoon, we visit an eco-resort, where we enjoy the view from a pool built into the mountainside. We slow down in the afternoon with breathing therapy, followed by a refreshing ice bath before we do some sunset yoga. For dinner, we try the resort's local specialty: cooking various ingredients in cast iron pots.
On the last morning, we gather once more to have breakfast together on the hotel terrace, then depart feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Not at all. There are always people who come alone, so you can be sure that you’ll make new friends!
This is one of our friendliest camps! If you love being in nature, admiring the mountains, and doing all sorts of activities along the way, then this is the camp for you!
Although it's summer in the Austrian Alps in August, you should expect variable weather. Be prepared for real beach weather when sunbathing by the lake, but rain showers can occur at any time, so it's a good idea to have a jacket handy for the evenings.
It depends on what you plan to do. If you intend to swim and participate in spa activities, be sure to bring your swimsuit. For leisure activities, prepare with casual, sporty, or possibly rainproof attire and comfortable shoes.
The price includes breakfasts and dinners, so you only need to budget for lunches and drinks, which typically cost between 10-30€ per meal. If you'd like to participate in optional activities (such as SUP, ziplining) or enjoy drinks at the bar in the evenings, be sure to include those in your budget as well.
The local currency is euro. You can bring cash from home or there are several ATMS, for withdrawals. In most locations you can also pay by card.
You'll need insurance that covers all the activities you plan to participate in and is valid in Austria. Get in touch with us, and we'll gladly help you find the best option for you.
The tour is led by our seasoned guide, Szancsi, who is sort of a local meanwhile from Leogang, thus possessing comprehensive local knowledge. As a yoga and body art instructor, as well as a true foodie, you can truly count on her as an expert in every moment.
3 nights in double rooms with balconies at a fabulous 4-star design hotel, where Alpine traditions blend with modern urban style, enhanced by natural experiences through wooden furniture and finishes. In addition to outdoor adventures, the hotel offers its own restaurant and bar, communal space, and panoramic sauna, along with a special via ferrata route on the side of the building.
Although we are passionate skiers, surfers and motorriders, we had to realize that there are other outdoor adventures that cannot be missed.
Just think about dog sledding in the Arctic under the Northern Lights or driving around in motorhomes from hot spring to hot spring in Iceland or Japan.
We are constantly on the lookout for great outdoor adventures, but if you don’t find here what you are looking for, we are happy to organize whatever comes to your mind.
