*The duration of the trip lasts from meeting at Harstad/Narvik (EVE) Airport, Norway until the departure home from the same place.
The Lofoten Islands are located roughly in the middle of northern Norway, facing the town of Bodø. Their name originates from the Nordic word ‘fotr’, meaning ‘foot’, as the islands’ shape was thought to resemble a lynx’s paw by those who named them.
Once part of a Viking kingdom, the inhabitants of these islands lived in isolation for millennia, exposed to harsh natural conditions and making their living through fishing in one of the world’s most dangerous seas. Due to its isolation, natural treasures, and breathtaking panoramas, Lofoten has now become a top destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts.
The end of summer here is different from what we’re used to: with long, cool days stretching into the night and minimal temperature fluctuations, we can enjoy the islands well into the evening with predictable weather. There are countless hiking trails to choose from, and from the mountain peaks, we are rewarded with breathtaking views of a landscape that feels almost otherworldly. When we’re not hiking to the summits, we can kayak beneath cliffs dotted with seabirds or set out on boat trips in search of seals and whales in the fjords.
During the camp, we’ll also have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the centuries-old fishing culture characteristic of the islands. Among the red rorbu wooden houses, cod drying in the wind provides the main ingredient for the local fish soup, which we’ll of course get to taste.

During the camp, our base will be authentic Norwegian rorbu houses, perched on stilts above the water, offering unique views of the surrounding mountains, the ocean, and the lights of the city. After the hikes, we can relax in our private sauna or even try the floating sauna at our accommodation.
In addition to the cosy 2-bed rooms, the communal areas give space to discuss the best stories of the day while preparing dinner and enjoying a few beers. Breakfast and a packed (cold) lunch are provided at the lodge to take up the mountain.

We arrive at Harstad/Narvik (EVE) airport, from where we take a private transfer to Svolvær.
We occupy our authentic Rorbu houses, have dinner, and enjoy the long daylight with a beautiful Norwegian scenery.

After breakfast, we head south to conquer the iconic Reinebringen peak at 448 meters, which is accessible via 1978 stone steps. From here, we admire the most spectacular panorama of the archipelago, with its jagged peaks rising from the narrow fjords.
Along the way, we pass through several fishing villages, including Reine, which is considered one of the most beautiful villages in the world.
Throughout the day, we not only learn about the local fishermen's way of life but also encounter the legacy of the 1000-year-old Viking culture at every turn.

On this day we cross most of Lofoten on the small bridges connecting the islands. We stop on the white sandy beach of Flakstad for a picnic lunch, soaking up the sun and the stunning scenery.
The feeling of adventure is guaranteed with a splash in the turquoise waters of the bay.
Onwards, we explore the iconic Kvalvika beach, both from above and up close. After a leisurely walk along the coast, we climb Ryten, one of Lofoten's popular hiking trails, for breathtaking views of Kvalvika beach.
After an adventure-filled day, we'll rest up in a sauna floating on the water.

We start the day in Henningsvær, a town known to many for its famous cliffside football pitch.
Throughout the fishing village, cod are drying on large wooden racks between houses on stilts. We stroll through the streets of the town, passing numerous artisan shops, bakeries, and small art galleries.
In the afternoon, we visit Haukland Beach, which is voted one of Norway's most beautiful shores. After a short walk, we admire its picturesque surroundings from the Mannen peak. Later, if the team is up for it, we paddle out into the fjords and enjoy the evening sunset from our kayaks on the Norwegian Sea.
As a perfect end to our adventurous day, we will taste the dried fish we admired earlier in a traditional fish soup.

On our last full day, we set off for another hike in the morning. Fløya is the mountain that rises above Svolvær, with Svolværgeita, a popular rock formation for rock climbers, as its highest peak.
The 590-metre summit overlooks the harbour town of Svolvær and a row of rorbu houses, including our accommodation. Along the hiking trail, we also pass Djevelporten, also known as "The Devil's Gate", a huge rock trapped in a gorge.
We spend the afternoon at sea again and if you feel like it, you can join the boat trip to Trollfjord. If we are lucky, we may see seals and killer whales during the tour!

After a short walk in Svolvær, we bid farewell to the postcard world and head home with everlasting memories and new friendships.
