This tour is perfect for surfers and those eager to learn, but it’s also ideal for anyone wanting to explore the unique attractions and experiences Sri Lanka has to offer.
Sri Lanka is famous for its tea plantations, its stunning rain forests, and its sandy beaches. But, there are also two distinct historical flavors that have left a lasting mark on the island: one is the colonial architecture, the other is thousands of years of Buddhist culture that continues to inspire the decorative flair of the island.
But it’s Sri Lanka’s natural landscape that makes this island country especially interesting. Along the way, we visit Yala or Udawalawe National Park where we’ll spot elephants, bears and even crocodiles. On another day we jump on a boat and head out whale watching, perhaps even spot some dolphins from right up close. We also visit a local turtle farm, where baby turtles are raised.
Of course the itinerary won’t be too packed; we want to leave heaps of time to soak up the unique experiences that Sri Lanka has to offer even in our down-time. Take your time sipping coconut water on the beach, or sit back and relax while drinking beer on an uninhabited island.
And if you’d like to get to know the island even better, join us for the 5-day extension — an adventure into the mountains,, we set off on an adventure into the mountains to discover another side of the island. Jungle-covered hillsides, world-famous tea plantations, the iconic train journey through the mountains, colonial architecture, nature, hiking, and yoga – and finally, we crown it all with one last sunset by the ocean.

The vibe is warm, open, and social, with a lush garden that rolls straight down to the beach. And when it’s time to explore, all the island’s highlights are just a quick tuk-tuk ride away.

The group meets at the airport followed by a 2,5h private bus transfer to the villa.

After breakfast the first theoretical surf lesson begins, followed by our first group surf session on the beach. We usually have lunch together near the seaside.
After the afternoon yoga session, we go for the second surf session. We end the day at a lovely seaside restaurant with delicious food.

Breakfast, morning surf session, lunch at the accommodation. In the afternoon, we embark on a boat trip on Lake Koggala to see some wildlife and visit three different islands to meet the locals.
We have dinner back at the accommodation and then head to Mirissa Beach for a bonfire party.

After the morning surf and lunch on the beach, the group can visit Galle in the afternoon, where we explore the castle and learn about colonial architecture.
Dinner at the best fish restaurant in the area.

Thanks to the experience we've gained so far, we'll have enough confidence to have photos and videos taken of our surfing skills, so you will surely have some nice memories to last.
This session is followed by another theoretical lesson, then lunch, yoga and in the late afternoon we visit the famous tea plantation of Handunugoda. After dinner we analyse the footage we made during the morning session.

We're leaving the surf boards behind and head to the amazing Hiriketiya bay, where we enjoy the beach and the waves. Then we hit an awesome lunch spot and head to Mulkirigala Rock Temple to learn about local culture.
To finish up the day, we head to Midigama to let the steam out with a Cheeky Monkey Party.

We start with the usual morning surf, then head to a secluded beach near Mirissa for some off-the-radar exploration as an optional adventure if the group is interested.
After lunch at the Weligama fish market, we'll do yoga and surf again in the afternoon. We'll end the day with dinner at the Lighthouse and an epic ocean sunset.

Start the day with a morning surf session, followed by some well-earned chill time and an afternoon yoga session. Or, switch things up with an optional Uduwella safari or whale and dolphin watching excursion, depending on the group’s vibe.
Our day ends in Weligama at an awesome tiki bar.

We start our final day with a group meal followed by optional massage and spa treatments. Checkout from the hotel is around noon, then we head to the airport and return home with amazing new memories.
Alternatively, those who wish can extend their stay and spend an additional 4 nights on the island with us on our optional adventure add-on.

For those who prefer to stay longer, we organize a trip into the mountains to explore world-famous tea plantations. Here, we spend two nights at a secluded organic farm producing the highest quality artisanal tea. We go hiking, practice yoga, and attend cooking and tea classes.
On the morning of the third day, we board a train and spend half a day travelling through tea plantations on the world's most beautiful railway line. In Nuwara Eliya, the capital of the Sri Lankan highlands at 1,868 meters, we stay in an elegant, colonial-style grand hotel. Finally we visit an ethical elephant orphanage on the way back to our beachfront hotel near the airport for our last night before flying home.
