We climb the endless switchbacks of the Peruvian Andes, reaching altitudes of 3,000-4,000 meters, where riding takes on a completely different dimension. The air gets thinner, the landscape rawer, and the roads constantly shift beneath you – from smooth asphalt to dusty, narrow mountain tracks, often streaked with surreal colors, where every corner reveals something new. Llamas and alpacas graze by the roadside as we ride deeper into the world of the Andes.
After picking up the bikes in Cusco, we ease into the journey with a warm-up ride through the iconic highlights of the Sacred Valley. We stop at the circular, amphitheater-like terraces of Moray, then wind our way through the blinding white pools of the Maras salt mines, where salt has been harvested in the same way for centuries. That night, we stay at a hidden lodge, tucked away in the mountains – where you can sit in your private jacuzzi and watch (or even pet) llamas grazing right around you. From here, we head deeper into the Lares region, where the roads become narrower, wilder, and far less predictable. The outside world slowly fades, replaced by small villages, traditionally dressed communities, and timeless landscapes.
The next day, we descend toward Santa Teresa before reaching one of the most iconic moments of the journey: Machu Picchu. The lost city of the Incas reveals itself through the mist – not a place you rush through, but one that slows you down. You take it in, properly. We spend the night in Aguas Calientes before returning to the bikes.
Back in the saddle, we ride one of the most beautiful high-altitude roads in the Andes toward Ollantaytambo, one of the most impressive architectural sites of the ancient Inca Empire. From here, we flow further south toward Sicuani – faster sections, endless curves, and open highland plateaus rolling into each other. On the way to Rainbow Mountain, a unique experience awaits: local riders take us up to the viewpoint, where the colors of the mountains genuinely feel beyond real. From here, more hidden gems unfold – the layered, almost painted ridges of Pallay Punchu, followed by the Q’eswachaka rope bridge, still rebuilt by local communities every year using traditional methods. These are not staged attractions – they are living parts of the Andes.
Peru is a layered experience, where landscapes, culture, and roads are constantly shifting. Over the course of the journey, we cover more than 1,000 kilometers on some of the most spectacular roads in the Peruvian Andes.

In Santa Teresa, we add another layer to the experience with a forest lodge, before heading out for the Machu Picchu tour. Over the next three stops, we unwind in comfortable, well-equipped hotels - the perfect reset after longer riding days.
On the final night, we return to Cusco, staying at a 5 stars hotel.

Altitude: 0 m
Arrival at Lima’s Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM), followed by a relaxing evening in a seaside villa to recover from the long journey.

Altitude: 3,400 m
In the morning, we fly together to Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire. As the city sits at high altitude, the day is all about acclimatization. We ease into it with light activities, starting with a visit to Sacsayhuamán, one of the largest and most impressive Inca structures, where we begin to connect with one of the world’s oldest cultures.
Afterwards, we explore the city’s main sacred sites and dive into local flavors at a historic market designed over 100 years ago by Gustave Eiffel.

70 km, mixed terrain, altitude: 3,400 m
In the morning, we pick up the bikes and set off into the Andes. It’s a shorter, 70 km ride - the perfect introduction to the motorcycles and the landscape.
We visit the circular, amphitheater-like terraces of Moray, then continue to the Maras salt mines, where salt has been harvested using the same methods for centuries.
In the afternoon, we arrive at a hidden lodge, tucked away in the mountains, where you can relax in a private jacuzzi, take in the views, and even pet the curious llamas wandering nearby.

150 km, mixed terrain, altitude: 3,200 m
After a relaxed late-morning start, we head toward the Lares region, where the roads become narrower, wilder, and far less predictable, surrounded by timeless Andean landscapes. Our first stop is a wildlife sanctuary, where we may spot one of the world’s largest flying birds - the Andean condor.
We continue to Pisac for lunch, one of the Sacred Valley’s most iconic spots, known for its impressive ruins and vibrant local market.
By the afternoon, we arrive at a different, special mountain lodge and we spend the night there.

220 km, asphalt, altitude: 1,550 m
We continue along spectacular roads, carving through mountain passes as the landscape shifts dramatically around us. Gradually, we descend into lower, greener valleys, where the air gets warmer and the scenery softer.
We pass through small villages along the way, stopping whenever something catches our eye or simply feels too good to ride past. Our destination is Santa Teresa, which we reach by the end of the day after nearly 8 hours of riding.

10 km, asphalt, altitude: 2,430 m
After breakfast, we take a short ride to Hidroeléctrica, where we park the bikes and continue with only small backpacks. From here, we reach Machu Picchu - one of the wonders of the world - by train and bus.
During a guided tour, we explore the fascinating life and culture of the Incas, before making a short, easy hike to Aguas Calientes, where we spend the night.

150 km, asphalt, altitude: 2,800 m
Still under the spell of the previous day, we catch an early train in the morning and return to the bikes. Our next destination is Ollantaytambo, home to one of the most monumental architectural complexes of the Inca Empire.
The precision and craftsmanship of the massive stones carved into the steep mountainsides remain one of the most remarkable - and still largely unexplained - achievements of ancient Peru.

280 km, asphalt, altitude: 3,550 m
Our longest riding day takes us through ever-changing landscapes, where the vegetation becomes more sparse, yet the scenery grows increasingly vibrant.
One of the world’s most unique natural wonders, the Rainbow Mountain, rises to nearly 5,000 meters, glowing in every color imaginable - something that feels almost unreal, even when you’re standing right there.
We don’t reach it on our own bikes - instead, local riders take us up to the viewpoint, adding another layer to the experience.

245 km, asphalt, altitude: 3,400 m
In the morning, we visit the Q’eswachaka Bridge - the last remaining Inca rope bridge made entirely of woven grass, still rebuilt every year using ancient techniques.
Afterwards, we head north and ride back to Cusco. We return the motorcycles and check into our final accommodation - a 5-star hotel in the heart of the city.
At our closing dinner, we relive the best moments of the journey.

We take domestic flights back to Santa Cruz, where we say goodbye and return home with unforgettable memories.
