Yusuke

Yusuke was born in Japan, but as a young adult his studies took him to Europe, where he lived for nearly thirty years. Alongside his work as a contemporary artist, he was also active as a tour leader and interpreter. Today he lives and works in Japan again, and the unique perspective of his tours comes from the ease with which he moves between different cultures and contexts.

While many visitors arrive in Japan mentally separating the traditional from the modern, Yusuke sees them not as opposing worlds, but as realities that exist side by side. He enjoys showing travelers a country that stands at the forefront of high-tech innovation, yet is deeply rooted in centuries-old cultural patterns and social norms.

He is especially passionate about stepping beyond the vibrancy of the major cities to introduce rural, nature-oriented Japan, where tourism remains on a much smaller scale and encounters feel more personal, genuine and human.
