*The duration of the trip lasts from meeting at Harstad/Narvik Airport (EVE), until the departure home from the same place.
In some places, we encounter dramatically steep slopes, while in others, we find pleasantly gentle inclines, with snow conditions varying significantly depending on the location in this exciting region. What appears from a distance to be a large mountain range is actually an archipelago made up of eighty islands, surrounded by a multitude of winding fjords.
We organize the daily climbs and descents on the best freeride terrain based on the advice of our local friends, alongside an experienced GoBeyond tour guide. Although at this time of the year we can’t experience the midnight sun yet, but even in April, we can enjoy sunlight stretching into the evening, giving us plenty of time to explore the untouched slopes of the islands with touring skis and splitboards. As the sun sets, there is a good chance we may also see the Northern Lights!
When thinking of the Arctic Circle, surfing might not be the first thing that comes to mind, while the shores of Unstad offer excellent left and right beach breaks even for beginners. After a morning of sliding down from the peaks, we might catch a sunset surf session in the 4-5 degree Celsius water, followed by a sauna session in one of the beach’s panoramic saunas.
When we’re not conquering a mountain, we’re exploring the islands of Lofoten, traversing the unique waterways and bridges that connect the islands.

During the camp, our base will be authentic Norwegian rorbu houses, perched on stilts above the water, offering unique views of the surrounding mountains, the ocean, and the lights of the city. After freeriding, we can warm up in our private sauna or even try the floating sauna at our accommodation.
In addition to the cosy 2-bed rooms, the communal areas give space to discuss the best stories of the day while preparing dinner and enjoying a few beers. Breakfast and a packed (cold) lunch are provided at the lodge to take up the mountain.

Arrival at Harstad Narvik Airport, from where we take a minibus transfer to Svolvær.
We settle into our authentic rorbu house, and after a homey welcome dinner, we carefully scan the sky above the fjord, searching for the Northern Lights.

After a hearty breakfast, the team participates in a brief avalanche awareness training, then we organize into groups based on skill level.
After the short introduction and preparation, we choose, together with our local friends, which mountain on the islands to target. Typically, there will be an option to choose between easier and more challenging routes both up and down. The dramatic beauty of the landscape is guaranteed on every route.

In the following days, new and breathtaking descents await us, with each day offering a different panorama as we conquer the varied peaks of the islands, exploring the best freeride terrains.
Our goal is for everyone to push their limits and enrich their lives with unforgettable experiences while discovering this completely unique corner of the world.
For those seeking an extra dose of adrenaline, Arctic surfing on the gentle waves of the Norwegian Sea awaits. If the weather permits or the team desires, we can explore the charming fishing villages of the islands, taste the local dried fish, and learn why the Vikings loved this place.
After active days, pleasant evenings await us, whether it’s relaxing in the sauna and cooking at home, or exploring the fishing village with delicious fish and local drinks.

After breakfast, transfers take us back to Harstad, where we say a tearful goodbye until the next GoBeyond camp.
