We were eagerly awaiting a new adventure and had been on the lookout for a motorcycle destination where we could escape the European winter for summer. That’s how we set our sights on Tanzania, East Africa’s largest country, which offers far more than just the white sandy beaches of Zanzibar—it’s a place with endless surprises.

There are places in the world that are best explored by motorcycle. But what about the world’s most dangerous road? In the summer of 2009, I visited Ladakh, the northernmost province of India, for the first time. Due to its towering mountains and untouched Buddhist culture, many call it “Little Tibet.”

Over seventy participants took part in the four-day race, which led all the way to the Bay of Kotor. Winners were chosen in four categories by the jury and the participants themselves.

With a little exaggeration, I could say that it means everything. I know it sounds kind of clichéd, but it's the truth. I've tried to move it down the list, tried to walk away from it, but fate has always drawn it back to me. What could I do, I accepted it.
